Free & Pro
Kelpulator has two tiers: Free and Pro. Everyone starts with a free trial of Pro so you can try all features before deciding.
Free gives you the core tools — track kelp and fish, view drift predictions, and join crews. Some features have lower limits or are unavailable on the free tier.
Pro unlocks higher limits, direct messaging, and the full feature set. You can subscribe from the Subscription screen in App Settings.
Feature Limits by Tier
The table below shows the key differences:

When you reach a limit, the app shows an alert explaining the cap and what you can do (archive old marks, upgrade, etc.).
Free Trial
New accounts automatically receive a free trial of Pro. During the trial you have full access to all Pro features and limits.
A banner at the top of the screen shows how many days remain. When the trial ends, your account moves to the free tier. Any marks, crews, and reports you created are preserved — you just can't exceed the free-tier limits going forward.
Managing Your Subscription
Go to App Settings > Subscription to view your current plan, start or renew a subscription, or restore a previous purchase.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your device's subscription settings.
